Since 2002 Scott Mackie has been taking photos of the wonderful St Catherine’s woodlands, meadows, wildlife and views. Some are shown here so you can see the context for the Footprint and why St Catherine's is such a fantastic place for education work. It's a microcosm of the Lake District, it's self-contained with a great variety of habitats and landscape, and it's safe and accessible on foot through beautiful woodland from Windermere station. It also has some stunning views towards the higher Lake District fells and over the lake.
