Straw Course: 5th-9th June 2006
This was the final week of this series and by the end the straw walls had to be in to roof plate height or the schedule would be awry. This week was rescheduled in mid May due to a chaged date for the portal installation, and because of the short time to promote the course, the labour force was comprised of staff on Trust training places, who gave a day or two each. The weather was very hot, the work got done and at 4.25 on the Friday afternoon the last bale went in giving 8 courses of straw bale walls, all fitted around the frames and the windows.
