Lime Plastering August 2006
Three weeks of training events and almost three coats of lime plaster to the outside of the building and the wall on the covered activity area. Tough stuff to work with, requiring skin protection and careful handling, nevertheless the finish is fantastic, setting off the walls perfectly. A true example of historic building techniques meet futuristic (in the UK anyway) materials to create beautiful breathing buildings. The weather was right too, the damp and wet August was perfect for plastering; letting it dry gradually, reducing the risk of cracking.
